What is the
the treatment?
Neurorehabilitation is rehabilitation aimed at recovery after an injury to the central or peripheral nervous system. When a person experiences an injury to their nervous system such as a stroke, head injury, spinal cord injury or demyelination, it is considered that there is a limited period of time during which optimal results can be obtained, and it is essential to provide adequate training, focusing not only on continuous repetition of tasks, but on the progressive creation of more complex and meaningful movements, which provide gratification and reward.
Advances in neuroscience and a wide range of studies over the past decades have shown that for optimal recovery after a nervous system injury, it is essential that the workload and quality of the work is maximised, as well as the use of the most advanced technology to stimulate and make real changes, faster and better. It can take several weeks or even months, depending on the severity of the injury.
For this purpose, technological concepts and devices have been developed to structure and increase the intensity. This will allow us to adequately stimulate our central and peripheral nervous system and bring about the necessary functional changes that will allow our patients to improve their autonomy and quality of life.
